“Daring Greatly” means that YOU have the courage to be vulnerable, to show up and be seen. To ask for what YOU need, to talk about how you’re feeling, to have the hard conversations. -Oprah —————————————
People tell me all the time “Don’t know how you do it!”… funny thing is I’ve heard this since I was 19. When I left my small bayou hometown for college in New Orleans… or when I had to drop out and start working to provide for myself… or when I started traveling All over the USA for my Consulting job… or when I moved to Abu Dhabi for work for 2 years (my first international home away from home)… or when I had triplets and became a First time Mom… or when we moved to Istanbul for almost a year and a half with 3 years old triplets… or when I flew home ALONE on a 12 hours direct flight to Louisiana with 4 years old triplets for six weeks… guess you get the picture. I try not to let people’s opinions or worries affect my decisions. No one will ever understand my journey or adventures with the Peas (triplets) because it’s mine alone. It requires so much of me and there’s tons of times where all I want to do is stay in bed and pull the covers over my head… BUT that’s when I remember that there’s a woman out there somewhere who needs to hear my story. I have to be courageous in order to be creativity (especially with Life Coaching) to show her that she can handle anything life throws at her on a daily basis. Just take it Moment by moment or minute by minute if need be. ✨
Do you let the hard things in life break you, affect you, change you, inform you, and teach you? Don’t try to run away from it or cop out. LEAN into it and LEARN from it.
Be vulnerable and allow growth to happen… make room for grief, for joy, for misery. Practice vulnerability and have an attitude of gratitude. Be courageous. Your strength will motivate you therefore pushing you to be creative more than you would ever know. ✨
